The Student Judiciary (also called Student Court in early years) is the judicial body of the NTPU Student Union. If you believe that the Union has violated the rights of a student, you may seek relief from us under the regulation.
I. Adjudication in student self-governance disputes
Cases heard by the Student Judiciary are deliberated by a panel of student judges. In accordance with the Organic Act of the National Taipei University Student Union and the student government regulations, the student judges adjudicate cases in accordance with their conscience, independently and impartially, without any interference.
If you are interested in student self-governance and are willing to take up the important responsibility of student self-governance jurisdiction, you are welcome to join the Student Judiciary!
The Student Judiciary has the following positions:
- Student Judge - Nominated by the Student Union Chief and approved by the Student Parliament.
- Clerk - openly selected annually by the Student Judiciary.
II. Particaipation in the student appeal system and gender-related incident mechanism
The National Taipei University (NTPU) establishes a student appeal system, and there are student representatives nominated by departments, colleges and the Student Union in the Student Appeal Review Committee (SARC), where the Student Union representative is from one of our student judges. The same as it in Gender Equality Education Committee (GEEC). The Student Judiciary offers a manual about how to appeal to SARC. As for GEEC, you could see the webpage of it.
